To all those who have the beta for Pixels Soldiers: The Great War, you can now check out the update for the new aircraft mechanics. There are still a few things that need to be done, but you should be able to get a good idea of what the new gameplay will be like.
Aircraft Update changes the following rules…
-Aircraft now transition between different states in this order: on airfield > [option to enter hanger to get repairs] > sky above the battlefield > ground attack enemy units on the battlefield.
-Aircraft have fuel that is replenished when they get back to the airfield. Fuel is used up if ending the turn in the sky.
-Aircraft can enter the hangar on the airfield to get repairs.
-Please note this is currently just a barebones implementation of what’s to come.
Still to do…
*AI Aircraft to use new system
*Air to Air combat
*Running out of fuel should destroy aircraft
*Fuel warning when low
*Implement night, wind and weather conditions
Also, I know a lot of you have contacted me about bugs. They have been noted and they will be fixed. If you find any more, please let me know!
