    A huge part of it really the dynastic struggles of Indian politics as it's essentially English backed princes fighting other princes for control of the land. Mix in some religious conflict between Hindus and Muslims and so on and you have a very interesting setting within still, a largely napoleonic setting

    The Anglo-Maratha wars are part of my cultural heritage since ethnically, I'm descended from a group of warriors that my family claims fought against the English during that time.

    It's a great period for warfare since you have large field set piece battles but also really great examples of siege craft, both in terms of defence and in terms of storming fortifications.

    Here's a very weird idea (mostly because I don't know if you have any naval units) but what about the battle of Jutland?

    In terms of “modern” naval conflicts, Jutland ranks as one of the most serious, but arguably most confusing(outcome wise), in the list. It's a thought
